Why flush? Flushing the air conditioning system removes residual oil and contaminants. If the system isn't flushed before installing the compressor, then any residue and contaminants will be left in the system and in the end, may cause the compressor to fail. Some compressor manufacturers/rebuilders require proof of flushing before satisfying a warranty issue.
